Exact Stone Fireplace

Projects

Just finished in time for the weekend.
Freshly pointed today so still drying out but couldn’t resist lighting a small fire to celebrate clients are so happy and so am I, this has to be my favourite feature fireplace to date. It’s stunning and so tall standing at 4.5m high with raised hearth/seat making this a huge statement and the focal part of the house, you really can’t beat the sound of an open natural log burning fire @jetmasterfireplaces Firefox installed by the brilliant @classicfires who also built the sub structure out of timber and cement sheet. Generally I prefer to glue and fix to a heavier duty board but in this case there was ample timber supports to mechanically fix the stone using the 15mm @stoneclip system and stainless steel decking screws and washers. The stone used is from @ecooutdoor and is the Barrimah walling, corners and capping. All custom cut and dressed on site to suit this fireplace. The timber mantelpiece is a buetiful piece of reclaimed ironbark hardwood railway sleeper from @ironwoodtimber and is held on using 16mm threaded bar and chemset. The end result speaks for itself.
